Cheese Steak Sloppy Joes
These cheese steak sloppy joes combine ground beef, peppers, onions, mushrooms, and a creamy cheddar sauce for an easy, flavorful weeknight dinner.

- 900 g ground meat 2 lbs
- 1 medium onion diced (≈ 150 g)
- 2-3 bell peppers diced (≈ 300–400 g total)
- 150 g mushrooms sliced
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream 1 ½ cups
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese ≈ 225 g
- 2 tbsp flour ≈ 16 g
- 4 tbsp butter half stick
- Worcestershire sauce to taste ≈ 1–2 tbsp
- Salt and pepper
- 1 pack dinner roll buns 12 rolls
Sauté onion until softened. Add ground meat, season, and brown. Remove and set aside.
Add peppers, mushrooms, and Worcestershire to the pan. Cook until softened. Add meat back in, stir, then remove again.
Melt butter in the pan. Stir in flour and cook briefly.
Add heavy cream and stir until smooth. Add cheddar and melt into a creamy sauce.
Add meat and veggies back into the sauce and combine.
Spoon mixture onto dinner roll buns. Brush tops with melted butter.
Bake at 350 degrees for 5 to 10 minutes until the buns get color
